We can write the equation:
x^2-5x+6 = 0.
x^2-2x-3x+6 = 0.
x(x-2)-3(x-2) = 0.
(x-2)(x-3) = 0.
=>(x-2) or (x-3) = 0.
> x = 2 or 3.
x^2-5x+6 = 0.
x^2-2x-3x+6 = 0.
x(x-2)-3(x-2) = 0.
(x-2)(x-3) = 0.
=>(x-2) or (x-3) = 0.
> x = 2 or 3.

x^2-5x-6 = 0.
x^2-(3+2)x-6 = 0.
x^2-3x+2x-6 = 0.
x(x-2)+2(x-3) = 0.
(x-3)(x+2) = 0.
x = -2, 3.
x^2-(3+2)x-6 = 0.
x^2-3x+2x-6 = 0.
x(x-2)+2(x-3) = 0.
(x-3)(x+2) = 0.
x = -2, 3.

x2-5x = 6.
x2-5x-6 = 0.
x2-6x+x-6 = 0.
x(x-6)+1(x-6) = 0.
(x-6) = 0,(x+1) = 0.
x = 6,-1.
x2-5x-6 = 0.
x2-6x+x-6 = 0.
x(x-6)+1(x-6) = 0.
(x-6) = 0,(x+1) = 0.
x = 6,-1.
