See its simple we have two numbers for the value of x right by multiplying -1*6 we get -6 and by the same way sum these numbers we got 5 thats it got two values its simple.

-x*x+5x+6=0
-x*x-x+6x+6=0
-x(x+1)+6(x+1)=0
(x+1)(-x+6)=0
then x,x= -1&6
