Because of ohm's law voltage equal to current and resistance that's why current is maximum that time circuit is closed.

Circuit is closed the current is passing through each branch and voltage drop in the each branch.
If circuit is open no current flowing through the branch therefore there is no voltage drop.
If circuit is open no current flowing through the branch therefore there is no voltage drop.

A voltage is a force that forces charge, and moving charge is current and for movement of charge there should be a closed path.

If the circuit will closed, then and then only current will flow through the circuit and by Ohm's law, V = IR.

That means current increase, voltage increase and current decrease resistance decrease please Clear answer.

Open circuit = no current flow.
Closed circuit = current flow.
Closed circuit = current flow.

Resistance is more if thre is an open path and current can't reach the desired destination so if it is cloesd then we can say the volt influence the current to move only if the circuit is closed.

Open circuit has infinite resistance and we know that resistance is opposition to flow of current if opposition to current is infinite then current is zero so we have ohms law
(i.e) v/i=r if i=o then v=o.
So circuit must be closed.
(i.e) v/i=r if i=o then v=o.
So circuit must be closed.

We know that current always flows through low resistance path. During the open-circuit condition the circuit has high resisance.
