Here matter refers to all the physical substances which are made of atoms. The "state" of the matter refers to the group of matter with the same properties. In other words, you group the objects(matter) together according to their properties.

So in general matter can exist in only 3 states and they are solid, liquid and gas.

Solid - it ve certain shape and occupy some space. one can change its shape.

Liquid - it has size and volume(occupies some space) and it wont possess any shape of its own. It takes the shape of its container.

Gas - A gas is matter that has no shape or size of its own.

So all matters fall under any of these 3 states!

The substance which occupies the place is called as matter eg, whn there is problem on the road or on railways etc. Thn there is the crowd of the people the crowd is know as the matter.

Matter can exist in various phases: solid, liquid, gas, or plasma.

Most substances can transition between these phases based on the amount of heat the material absorbs (or loses).

Solid = poly vinyl chloride used in house appliances.

Liquid= oil used in transformer for coolant purposes.

Gas = SF6 used in circuit breaker.

The matter is anything that has mass and occupies some space.

So, the solid gas and liquid are correct.

Yes correct because in d given choices continously these three only may matter &may be found.

I think there are 5:

1. Solid.
2. Liquid.
3. Gas.
4. Plasma.
5. Bose-Einstein condensates.

There are four states of matter solid, liquid, gas and plasma.

The plasma exists in stars.

Solid -> Liquid -> Gas.

The matter has three different states have it.

Anything which has mass & occupies some space called matter.
