A voltage source, a load, and a conductive path for current are three basic elements required for any electric circuit.

voltage ---->conductive path ---->load

Circuit must contain source, conducting medium, load.

Voltage source is required to generate some pressure in order to flow current(i.e.., electrons) and conductive path is required in order to reach the current to load. Load is our appliances like bulbs, fans, fridges etc

When a voltage is applied, then current flow in a closed circuit. We appear it on the appliances like bulbs.

Full electric circuit is required for the construction at list one voltage source, conductor & load.

Why not option D. Because battery is also a source? can anyone give the explanation?

Without source nothing we do. So we require one source either voltage or current. And your main them is to drive the load only. For this require a conducting path.
