When the internal resistance is equal to the load resistance then the maximum power will generate according to maximum power transfer theorem.

P = VI V = IR V is constant that is directly proportional to P.

I and R inversely proportion then power drop at Rs=Rl is high.

When the resistance is common for the entire circuit from source to load then power at the source will be equal to power at the load.
