@ALL.
If you test between neutral and ground on a transformer what is the problem and if test a phase and earth and there is 10v what is the problem but other phases are ok.

Dot against inductors determine the phase difference of source and load. Dots in opposite directions means that load is at 180 degrees out of phase with source.

In phase means an angle between voltage and current is zero and out of phase means some angle between voltage and current.

Primary side voltage=40 and the turns ratio is 3:1
So secondary side voltage is 40/3=13.33v rms in out of phase.
So secondary side voltage is 40/3=13.33v rms in out of phase.

Secondry coil voltage=40v.
Turn ratia=3:1
acording formula,
Np/Ns=Vp/Vs
3/1 =40/Vs
Vs=13.33v
Turn ratia=3:1
acording formula,
Np/Ns=Vp/Vs
3/1 =40/Vs
Vs=13.33v

V1/V2= N1/N2.
40/V2 = 3/1.
V2 = 40/3.
V2 = 13.33 V OUT OF PHASE DUE TO OPPOSITE POLARITY.
40/V2 = 3/1.
V2 = 40/3.
V2 = 13.33 V OUT OF PHASE DUE TO OPPOSITE POLARITY.

The dots represents same sign. Those dots are opposite sides so it is out phase.

Please can anyone say that what is the effect of 'in phase' and 'out of phase' ?

The phase is diferent because dots are on opposite sides of the coils.

How can we say whether it is in phase or out of phase?
