The bridge is in balance condition when no current flows through the coil or the potential difference across the galvanometer is zero.

In the balanced condition difference will be zero and that's why the voltmeter reading zero.

My comments is - since the wheatstone bridge in balanced form, so there is no potential difference between them. So voltmeter reads zero volt.
