The current flowing through any component (s) in a series circuit is the same regardless of the resistance value the component (s) has. The voltage though does change depending on the resistance value of the component. The right answer is A.

Resistor in parallel also oppose current but in this question it is series circuit in which current will decrease and voltage will be same.

Resistance in a parallel circuit is also opposing current only option is it control the voltage. Is this true?
