Ge is more temp sensitive as its range is up to 70C whereas Si can withstand up to 140-180C temp. So Si has more stability at high temperature than Ge.
Also, due to less energy band gap than Si, Ge is more like a conductor and Si is more like a semiconductor.

Si is less sensitive to temperature as compared to Ge. Hence it has more thermal stability.

Si is the most commonly used semiconductor compared to GE the difference is EG.

Energy gap of Ge is higher than energy gap of Si.because of this one Si is the most widely used semiconductor.

Because Ge is costly than Si & it is operated at high temperature.so most widely used semiconductor is Si.
