Correct equation for impedance in an RLC series circuit is:
Z = Square root (R^2+(Xl-Xc)^2).
Using this equation after getting both Xl and Xc will give you 370. 1 ohms as the answer.
Z = Square root (R^2+(Xl-Xc)^2).
Using this equation after getting both Xl and Xc will give you 370. 1 ohms as the answer.

Series rlc circuit is Z = Sq.root(R^2+(Xc-Xl)^2).
R = 200 ohms.
Xc = 1/2.pi.f.c.
= 1/6.28*8*47*10^-6.
= 423.49 ohms.
Xl = 2.pi.f.l.
= 6.28*8*25*10^-1.
= 125.6 ohms.
Z = Sq.root(R^2+(Xc-Xl)^2).
= Sq.root(200)^2+(297.89)^2.
= Sq.root(128738.45).
= 358.8 ohms.
R = 200 ohms.
Xc = 1/2.pi.f.c.
= 1/6.28*8*47*10^-6.
= 423.49 ohms.
Xl = 2.pi.f.l.
= 6.28*8*25*10^-1.
= 125.6 ohms.
Z = Sq.root(R^2+(Xc-Xl)^2).
= Sq.root(200)^2+(297.89)^2.
= Sq.root(128738.45).
= 358.8 ohms.

The correct formula in series rlc circuit is Z=Sq.root(R^2+(Xc-Xl)^2).
Here R=220 ohms
Xc=1/(2* PI *freq*C) = 423.4 Ohms
Xl=2*Pi*freq*L=125.6 Ohms
Here R=220 ohms
Xc=1/(2* PI *freq*C) = 423.4 Ohms
Xl=2*Pi*freq*L=125.6 Ohms
