The total current=V/Z.

I= 10/((180-240j)+333||+250j).
I=0.0322<14.95.

I agree with @Tekman. I don't know how he found out. But here's my logic.

We have to express the whole impedance of the circuit in complex number form Z = a+b*i and then, phase = (b/a).

So lets find the impedance:

Z = 180 - 240i + (333 || -205i).

= 180 - 240i - (83250i/(333 - 250i)).

Now, rationalizing this we get Z = 300.033 - 399.8847i.

And (-399.8847/300.033) = -53.119.

Can't find the solution of problem. What is the phase angle of the circuit?

Tekman said:   1 decade ago
The phase angle for the entire circuit is 53 degrees.

@Veena.

Phase angle can be found in series circuit by the following formula
θ = tan inverse(Xc/R).

Phase angle can be found in parallel circuit by the following formula
θ = tan inverse(Ic/Ir).

Phase angle can be produced in rc circuit we know that for rc circuit r+jwc by using this formula you get the answer.

Please explain me that how we will find out phase angle ?

Whether it is to be find out by the method

Power factor cos theta = r/z
where r is resistance n z is total impedance.
