Here, we have to find the total circuit current.

R1 and C1 are in series connection with each other, therefore the current passing through those components are the same, and that current is the circuit current because it has not yet branched out as it has not passed through any node.

Exactly right @Aman.

Maybe they have considered Xc2 as an inductor, with +250j impedance instead of -250j.

The answer should be 20mA.

@Alberr.

I don't understand why you're ignoring the components of parallel branches. Please, somebody, help me to find the total impedance of the given circuit in details.

180-240j, it's in series.
then, 10/180-240j.
And get 0.0333 or 33.3mA.
Approximately to 32.2mA.

Why can't we use XC2 as an inductive load?

@All.

Try recalculating the circuit but this time, instead of XC1, replace it with an inductor, having an impedance of +240j. You will get the answer 32.2 mA.

Zt = 332.2.
I = v/z = 0.0301.
=> 30.123m Approximately 32.

Since (333 II 250) = ri.

ri+180+240 = 560.

10/560 = 0.0177.

0.0177*180 = 3.19 v.

10-3.19 = 6.80 v to xc1.

6.80v/240 = 28.3 m approximately 32.
