KCL denotes that Sum of incoming current is equal to sum of outgoing current. In a parallel circuit all branch voltages are equal.

But, numerically 2 option is also right.
As if we have, 5ohm, 10ohm and 15ohm resistance in parallel.
The net R= 2.5ohm which is smaller than the smallest resistance 5ohm in the circuit.
