If the gain of a closed-loop inverting amplifier is 3.9, with an input resistor value of 1.6 kilohms, what value of feedback resistor is necessary?

we know gain= rf/ri;
so rf = gain*ri
so rf = gain*ri

Gain= rf/ri
rf=gain*ri
rf=3.9*1.6*10^3=6.24*10^3=6240ohms
rf=gain*ri
rf=3.9*1.6*10^3=6.24*10^3=6240ohms

Gain of inverting op-amp is Rf/Ri.
So Rf = Gain*Ri.
= 3.9*1600.
= 6240 ohm.
So Rf = Gain*Ri.
= 3.9*1600.
= 6240 ohm.

The formula is gain =Rf/Ri+1 for an inverting amplifier.
