For Positive Feedback circuit, Gain is = A/(1-A. B).
Hence denominator will be less than 1 always and so gain will be more than 1 always whereas for negative feedback circuit, gain is = A/(1+A.B).

Gain Av= 1+ (Rf/R).
Even if feedback resistance is less i.e. Rf<R. The gain will be always greater than 1.

The formula is 1+Rf/R1 . We know that Rf > R1 . So it is always greater than one
