From Ohms' Law: V = IR.
and, I = V/R.

Let the voltage of the circuit be 20V and resistance be 10 Ohms;
therefore, I = V/R = 20/10 = 2A.
Suppose you increase the resistance of the circuit from 10 Ohms to 20 Ohms;
Now, I2 = V/R2 = 20/20 = 1A.
From the above calculations, it is TRUE that the current will decrease from 2A to 1A.
