Half-splitting is a technique used in trouble shooting which reduces the average number of measurements needed to isolate the faulty stage or component.

What is mean trouble shooting?

Medhavn said:   1 decade ago
Trouble shooting is nothing but checking of errors.

Can you please elaborate about trouble shooting?

Its nothing, simply while trouble shooting case and when there are a huge no. of errors then this technique is used to reduce them.

What is half splitting?

In half splitting we split the problem of a circuit in small parts. For eg. We can say that we are applying nodal analyses at different node in the circuit and then combining them to get the o/p of the complete circuit.

Taking things, one by one and reaching to the final stage.

Final stage is when the component causing problem is ultimately detected.
