All the above answers not completely true. Answer is. A transistor can be used as a switch. That is, when base is low collector is high (input zero, output one) and base is high collector is low (input 1, output 0).

Transistor is generally used for current amplification. Whenever, the transistor input is high(1) it produces output as low (0) and vice versa. Therefore the single transistor is enough to built NOT gate.

Transistors can be PNP or NPN. PN or NP means simply PN junction diode which will act as NOT gate. Not because of the reason stated above to my knowledge.

We can use the transistor in CE configuration and use say a resistor or a diode connected BJT as load and take the output from the collector of the BJT.

NOT Gate is like an inverter it is because when we gives one to the input of not gate we get zero i.e, inverts of the input.

The Transistor can be used as a switch. So the switch is on and off.
It is an inverter. So the answer is Not gate.
It is an inverter. So the answer is Not gate.

Transistor is acts as a switch means it is used for ON and OFF. This is can be done by using NOT gate.

A transistor is a simple switch so it can be employed to construct logic gates.

But when gate supply zero how transistor output will be one?

Becoz it has only 1 i/p and gives 1 o/p.
