When the current in a circuit is switched off, the induced magnetic field begins to collapse. As the field is collapsing, it generates voltage in the direction that momentarily prolongs the main current flow. Which means the induced current aids the flow of current and would be in the same direction.

D. According to Lenz's law the induced emf is always in opposite direction of the cause due to which is induced.
