It has 0.7v drop for silicon meterial so it is not directly proportional to source voltage and some resistance will be present in the diode so does not proportional to current.

Because when diode is forward biase it's current increase sharply but the voltage does'nt effected after the knee voltage.

When a diode is forward biased, the current limiting resistance is approximately zero and so does not have any potential drop across it. Hence approximately the same.

When you see characteristics of diode it will find that after cut off voltage is constant only current is changing.

What is knee voltage?

Knee voltage is that voltage which is required by silicon, Germanium, etc to remove electrons from its last orbit and become part of conduction.

If the diode is in conduction the voltage across it zero.
