A practical capacitor is like two parallel plate capacitor parallel with a resistor. So the charged capacitor will slow discharge in the form of heat and its rate of discharge depends upon strength of dielectric.

If capacitor is disconnected then their will be no discharge path so the charge leaks in the form of heat.

Option C. It will remain charged untill discharge path connected.
