A common-collector configuration is technically a pure current amplifier (current gain only).
For this to be achieved, the voltage gain must be unity, lest it would function like a common-emitter.
Hence, the answer B. Approximately equal to 1.

It's called emitter follower because is follows its input voltage at its output with slight amount of deviation so input and output get cancelled and answer is nearly unity.

Cc high current gain, cb high voltage gain.

Since it is Emitter follower (common collector) , it should have high voltage gain.
