Any confjguration (CB, CE, CC) for active region of operation EB junction forward &CB junction reverse bias. In the case of CC amplifier. It is commonly used for impedance matching (voltage gain <1).

There is no junction emiter and collector.

In PNP,

For c-c configuration output is taken against the Emitter terminal so
E - B junction = forward bias.
B-C junction = reverse bias.

PNP.

For C-C configuration.
The output is taken against the emitter terminal.
B-E forward bias.
B-C reversed bias.
