I think the answer is B, not A.

PNP.

For C-C configuration.
The output is taken against the emitter terminal.
B-E forward bias.
B-C reversed bias.

In PNP,

For c-c configuration output is taken against the Emitter terminal so
E - B junction = forward bias.
B-C junction = reverse bias.

There is no junction emiter and collector.

Any confjguration (CB, CE, CC) for active region of operation EB junction forward &CB junction reverse bias. In the case of CC amplifier. It is commonly used for impedance matching (voltage gain <1).

The correct answer is B.

Right answer. C-E because its C-C configuration. Use commonsense.

Irrespective of configuration, always EB= Forward Bias and BC= Reverse Bias.

In case of C-C configuration. The input characteristics at BASE TO EMITTER to forward bias the diode to make the device works properly.
