If the system is non-linear, the current response will contain harmonics of the excitation frequency. A harmonic is a frequency equal to an integer multiplied by the fundamental frequency.

The output is not proportional to the input. Comparator outputs logic 1 if input is greater than reference voltage, regardless of the magnitude of the difference. Thus, D.
