Ripple factor for chopper is :
Ripple Factor = sqrt( ( 1/D ) - 1 ) ; where D = duty cycle = Ton / T.

The Average voltage is 50, and rms voltage is 100, ripple factor is rms/average. How come it is sqrt of 3?

Please tell me if I miss something.
