A cable has an insulation resistance of 1010 ohms. If the length is doubled, the insulation resistance will be
2 x 1010 Ω
0.5 x 1010 Ω
1010 Ω
4 x 1010 Ω

The resistance offered by cable to path of the leakage current is called an insulation resistance. The insulation resistance is inversely proportional to its length. If two cables are joined in series then total length increases and hence their conductor resistances are in series giving higher resistance.

But insulation resistance are in parallel decreasing the effective insulation resistance. Thus if two cables are connected in parallel, conductor resistances get connected in parallel while the insulation resistance get connected in series.

Answer should be C because insulation resistance is diffrent and material resistance is diffrent.

Resistance varies directly with length. So as we double length resistance is doubled.

Here answer should be D part. Because with length area also varied.
