A 75 ohm line is first short terminated and minima locations are noted. Then the short is replaced by resistive load and minima location are again noted. If minima location are not altered and VSWR is 3, the value of resistive load is
25 Ω
50 Ω
225 Ω
250 Ω
Answer: Option

Here, it should be; vswr=vmax/vmin or zl/zo.

Voltage standing wave ratio: It is the ratio of maximum voltage to minimum voltage.
If the voltage minima occur at load ZL < Z0 then,
If the voltage maxima occur at load ZL > Z0 then,
Analysis:
Z0 = 75 Ω.

When the load is shorted the voltage minima occur at the load, and it does not change even when the short is replaced by RL:
and RL < Z0
VSWR = 3,
RL = 25 Ω.
