The modes of circular waveguides that have circular (or rotational/axial) symmetry are TE01 and TM01.
For these modes, the field variations with respect to the azimuthal angle (φ) are zero (m = 0), meaning the electromagnetic fields do not vary around the circumference.
A Transverse Electric mode with zero azimuthal variation, resulting in concentric circular electric field lines.TM₀₁ Mode:
