Magnetic flux = (flux density*Area).
Note: flux density = (permeability * magnetic field intensity).
Also, magnetic field intensity= ( magnetomotive force(mmf)/length),
Thus, to produce magnetic flux, mmf is necessary.

I think when source of magnetic flux is turned off, remembrance magnetism is left in ferro magnetic material, creates the magnetic flux with no mmf.
