Diamond is an insulator.

Can you please explain it correctly, carbon can conduct electricity then why diamond cannot conduct electricity?

Dheeraj said:   9 years ago
No this is false because diamond is a diamagnetic material. Diamond doesn't conduct the electricity that's why there no chance to create any magnetic field. So that's why it is a diamagnetic material. And diamond is the compound of the carbon but carbon conduct the electricity except for diamond there is no other compound which doesn't conduct electricity.
