The expression used in solution is not right. It should be 2fm(1 + mf) = 2 * 2k(1 + 5) = 24 kHz.

According to Carson rule,
Bandwidth = 2 (delta F + Fm)
Delta F = maximum frequency deviation.
Fm = Modulation frequency.
Bandwidth = 2(10+2)
=> 24.
Is the correct answer!
Bandwidth = 2 (delta F + Fm)
Delta F = maximum frequency deviation.
Fm = Modulation frequency.
Bandwidth = 2(10+2)
=> 24.
Is the correct answer!
