@Arathy.

Tunnelling is used in Zener diode in which we. B and c. B overlap and electron from v. b band directly go into c. b. Although we know in Zener voltage is less and a depletion region is also narrow but we apply slightly more voltage so as there will be more tilt or slope to the energy level Vo> Eg ultimately we can say tunnel diode work like metal and as a temp. Increase e-hole pair creates in v. b and more e cross narrow depletion region so resistance decrease.
