Here the wide end arrow means it represents the p-type. Thus, the p-type has positive charge. So, it is an anode.

I am not getting an answer for this. Can anyone explain it in detail?

Actually, In the diode, the symbol consists of 2 part. That is 'big arrow head' like anode part and a single 'thin line' cathode part. So the wide arrow in a diode indicates anode (positive side).

An arrow has 2 ends, one the pointed end where the arrow points and other is the wider part. So wide end part means the wider side of an arrow.

What you actually mean as wide end arrow?

The arrow mark denotes the direction of conventional current from p type to n type. where as the vertical bar denotes blockage of current from n type to p type. p type denotes anode and n type denotes cathode.

The wide end arrow is p-type position so that is positive so its known as anode.

Wide end is anode whereas the vertical line is cathode.
