In the reverse bias, the width of the depletion layer increases each terminal is connected to the opp. Terminal of the battery so depletion capacitance dominated.

It should be transition capacitance.

Depletion capacitance or transition capacitance dominates in reverse bias and diffusion capacitance in forward biased.

In reverse bias, the depletion width increases so in reverse bias the depletion capacitance dominates. In forward bias, the depletion width decreases so depletion capacitance cannot dominate.

IN reverse bias depletion width increase hence depletion capacitance dominates.

What is the depletion?

In reversed bias, depletion width increases hence depletion capacitance dominates. While in forward bias, depletion width decreases and diffusion capacitance dominates.

In reverse bias, depletion region increases and leads to reduce current flow. Hence depletion dominates.
