Because the collector current follows only during the positive half cycle of the input signal. And conduction angle is 180 phase shifted.

As the Q point for class B lies on the X axis so the transistor conducts for the only positive half cycle and so generates only half cycle with 180 degrees phase shift.

Aa in CLASS B amplifier theta is 180, which is a conduction angle and collector current flows exactly 180 of the i/p signal cycle.

Voltage and time across wave is 0 to pye (180) degree so class B amplifier.
