Self-sustained oscillations mean positive feedback (oscillators). The magnitude of loop gain should be 1 and phase of loop gain is -180.

For self -sustained oscillations beta A >=1, because gain never be negative according to Barkhausen criteria so, this condition is fully satisfied the Barkhausen criteria for self-sustained oscillations.
