When the D-MOSFET is P-channel, VDS is always negative?

Vds = -15-ID*rd.
= -15-(-6 *-1),
= -9volt.

In general Vds= Vdd-(Id*Rd)
But in figure direction of FET transistor is out of drain so, Id becomes negative .
ie, Vds=Vdd-(-Id*Rd)
Vds=-15-(-6ma*1k)
= -9v
