Vgs = Vg - Vs since it is in self-biased Vg = 0.
Vs = 3 then,
Vds = Vd - Vs = 6-3 = 3V.

Vds = Vd-Vgs = 3v.

Vg-Vs = Vgs = -3.

Vs = Vg+3, Vg==0.7 = 0.

Vds = Vd-Vs = 6-3 = +3.

Vds = Vd+Vgs.

VGS=-VS
VD-VS=3V
