Hence input impedance of a JFET is very high resistance in the order of Mega Ohms.

Input junction of the FET is(between gate and source terminals) making as reverse bias by applying reverse voltage. We know that in reverse bias PN junction offers high resistance in the order of Mega Ohms. Hence input impedence of a JFET is very high.
