Common collector is also called as emiter follower. As we know the properties of cc as

1. High current gain
2. Low voltage gain

Applications of cc:

1. If you want to operate the system in voltage mode then the first stage is cc.

2. cc can also used to provide out put to the loud speaker as it matches the impedence.
