Vce = 20 - (5 * 2).
Vce = 20 - 10.
Then, VCE = 10v => answer right.
Vce = 20 - 10.
Then, VCE = 10v => answer right.

Vce = Vcc - IcRc.
Vce = 20 - 10*10^-3*10*10^3.
vce = 10v.
Vce = 20 - 10*10^-3*10*10^3.

Given: Vcc=20v,Ic=5k,Rc=2mA
Voltmeter calculates voltage between Collector & Emitter terminals i.e. Vce.
We know, Vce=Vcc-IcRc
=>Vce=20-(5x2)
=>Vce=20-10
Vce=10v
