Vbc always has a negative sign for NPN since it is reverse biased for the transistor to work properly in the active region.
And also you can easily prove by using the formula Vbc = Vb - Vc; since Vb is always smaller than Vc, Vbc would always be a negative value.
And also you can easily prove by using the formula Vbc = Vb - Vc; since Vb is always smaller than Vc, Vbc would always be a negative value.
