Remember that Ie=Ic+Ib.
Then we divide each side by Ic and we will get (1/alpha)=1+(1/beta).
(Since alpha=Ie/Ic and beta=Ic/Ib)
By manipulating the equation.
We will get alpha = beta/(1+beta) then sub 100 to the beta.
Alpha = 0.990099.
Then we divide each side by Ic and we will get (1/alpha)=1+(1/beta).
(Since alpha=Ie/Ic and beta=Ic/Ib)
By manipulating the equation.
We will get alpha = beta/(1+beta) then sub 100 to the beta.
Alpha = 0.990099.

Alpha = Beta/(1+Beta).
Alpha = 100.
Alpha = 100/1+100.
Alpha = 100/101.
Alpha = 0.99.
Alpha = 100.
Alpha = 100/1+100.
Alpha = 100/101.
Alpha = 0.99.

Alpha= (beta)/(1+beta).
By substituting beta value in above equation.
We get alpha 0.99.
By substituting beta value in above equation.
We get alpha 0.99.

Beta=1/ (1-alpha).

Beta = alfa / (1- alfa)
100 = alfa / (1 - alfa)
alfa = .99
100 = alfa / (1 - alfa)
alfa = .99

It should be noted that alfa is always greater than beta, since collector current is always greater than base current.
(1/alfa)+(1/beta)=1
so alfa=(beta/beta-1)
=100/(100-1)
=100/99
=1.01
(1/alfa)+(1/beta)=1
so alfa=(beta/beta-1)
=100/(100-1)
=100/99
=1.01

Since alpha =(beta)/(1+beta)
=100/(1+100)
=100/101
=0.99
=100/(1+100)
=100/101
=0.99
