hfe = hfemid/[1+j(f/fβ)] if f = fβ then,
hfe = hfemid/(1+j); 1/(1+j) = 0.5-0.5j, in polar form =0.707 * 45,
hfe = 0.707hfemid, which indicates a half power point since 20log(0.707) = -3.01 dB which indicates a 3-dB drop in hfe.
