No, Voltage Gain of BJT Av=-Rc/(re+RE) if the bypass capacitor effectively shorts the emitter resistance then RE = 0, Av would be maximum. There is no infinite gain in a practical application.

Voltage gain =Rc ÷ Re.
So, AS Re-->0 voltage gain ---->infinity.
So, AS Re-->0 voltage gain ---->infinity.
