Apply KVL.

vbb - ibrb - vbc = 0.

5-ib5k-0.7 = 0.

Ib = 0.86 mA.

Now apply kvl to identify the value of vbe.

vbb-ibrb-vbe = 0.

5-0.86*5-vbe = 0 .

vbe = 0.7 volt.

VBE=VB-VE

VB=0.7 for NPN
VE= IExRE here RE=0 ie,VE=0V

VBE=0.7-0 = 0.7V
