The first band gives the first digit.
The second band gives the second digit.
The third band indicates the number of zeros.
The fourth band is used to shows the tolerance (precision) of the resistor

Tolerance printed on resistors in 2 colours i.e silver and gold, if not printed assume that is body colour. So body colour tolerance is 20%.
5% - gold.
10% - silver.
20% - body colour.
5% - gold.
10% - silver.
20% - body colour.

4 =yellow
7 =violet
00 =red(10^2)
Ten percent tollerance =silver
So, =4700.

@Anita.
Gold and silver are given for extra colour code and for tolerance. It does not have any code. It gives only tolerance. Gold-5% and Silver 10%.
