Turns ratio = n1/n2 = 400/2000 = 0.2.
Transformation ratio = n2/n1.

Here turns ratio is asked not transformation ratio.

Definition of the turns ratio of transformer is n1/n2 and not n2/n2.

So turns ratio is n1/n2 = 400/2000 = 1/5 = 0.2.

No.of turns in the primary (N1) = 400.

No.of turns in the secondary(N2) = 2000.

Turns ratio = N2/N1 = 2000/400 = 5.

Here, it's asked for turns ratio, not transformation ratio.

Turns ratio is N1/N2.

2/N1 is the transformation ratio.

But actually the formula for turns ratio is N1/N2 so the answer will be 0.2.
Please reply why all taken it as N2/N1.

Turn ratio is always N1/N2 which is always inverse of transformation ratio K & K=N2/N1.
Here the answer is 0.2.

I think its wrong because turns ratio is different from transformation ratio transformation ratio k=1/n=V2/V1=I1/I2

Actually, the turns ratio means n1/n2 so 400/2000=0.2.

The ans 5 i.e 2000/400 for transformation ratio=n2/n1.

As per my knowledge turn ratio= n1/n2.
Transformation ratio = n2/n1.

So, as per formula the ans will be 0.2.

@All.

How can apply N2 /N1 it is a transformation ratio no?

For turns ration we have N1/ N2 formula.
